In vitro testing whether Kratom extract increases the cytotoxicity of low-dose Doxorubicin against human lung cancer cells A549
Doxorubicin, a common cancer drug, can have serious side effects including fatigue, alopecia, nausea and vomiting, and mouth wounds. A compression of the bone marrow and an increased risk of a secondary violence diagnosis may occur. Heart damage and resistance to cancer cells.
Our study showed that combining low-dose doxorubicin with extracts of Kratom leaves can increase the effectiveness of the drug against lung cancer cells.
This approach potentially allows lower doses of doxorubicin, reducing the risk of side effects. These findings indicate a promising direction for improving cancer treatment with natural compounds.
